About The Position

The Senior Programming Scheduler is responsible for the strategic planning, creation, and execution of fast channels program schedules for the streaming platforms. This role ensures accurate and optimized content placement aligned with audience, business, and advertising objectives. As a senior team member, this position provides leadership in scheduling operations, supports high-priority programming initiatives, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure seamless delivery of content and promotional strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in programming, scheduling, or broadcast/streaming operations.
  • Strong understanding of programming strategy, audience behavior, and scheduling principles.
  • Experience with scheduling and traffic systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage complex schedules.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage long-term and short-term programming schedules aligned with channel or platform strategy.
  • Optimize content placement to maximize audience engagement, ratings, and revenue opportunities.
  • Balance programming priorities including premieres, repeats, special events, and acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain detailed program logs and schedules with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ensure all schedules reflect current programming strategies, contractual obligations, and timing requirements.
  • Implement schedule changes in response to breaking news, live events, or operational needs.
  • Partner with programming, marketing, ad sales, production, and operations teams to align scheduling with promotional campaigns and revenue goals.
  • Coordinate with traffic and operations teams to ensure schedules are executable and compliant.
  • Maintain accurate programming metadata, including episode information, rights windows, and content restrictions.
  • Ensure consistency across scheduling systems, media asset management tools, and distribution platforms.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on scheduling systems, processes, and best practices
