Be a part of something special! Responsibilities: Provide software engineering, AutoCAD, and database support services across the full application and facility management lifecycle. Develop, update, and maintain AutoCAD drawings and floor plans for facilities, labs, trailers, and office spaces, ensuring alignment with renovations, relocations, and space realignments. Perform operations and maintenance of applications, databases, and related COTS tools, including SQL Server, Oracle, AutoCAD, reporting tools, and directory services. Design, develop, enhance, and maintain database-driven systems supporting security, facility management, office relocations, license tracking, and organizational changes. Support employee in-processing and out-processing activities by updating AutoCAD drawings, databases, and directory/GAL information to ensure accurate personnel and space assignments. Support all phases of software development and enhancement, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, documentation, and release management. Design, modify, and maintain VB.NET applications, custom reports, and Excel forms to support operational and management needs. Generate technical and management reports, maintain database integrity, and provide end-user support and training as required. Deliver and maintain project management, quality management, communications, and disaster recovery documentation in support of application and facility-related systems. Serve as a technical subject matter expert in AutoCAD integration, database administration, software modernization, and system enhancements.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in AutoCAD Designing, software engineering, database administration, and systems analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prepare technical documentation, and support reporting and audit needs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 5+ years of experience in full lifecycle software development and IT support
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, VB.Net, Visual Basic, SQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, and Crystal Reports.
  • Hands-on experience with system/database maintenance, upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.
  • Expertise in database-driven applications, including security and facility management systems with CAD integration.
  • Demonstrated ability in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Proven experience managing user account workflows and service request processes.
  • Familiarity with IT security, audit, and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, Section 508, DR/COOP).
  • .NET Experience, particularly with legacy console applications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal or enterprise-level IT environments.
  • Strong background with reporting systems and automated data exports.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and Agile/iterative development methodologies.
  • Exposure to geospatial technologies such as ArcGIS and integration with enterprise databases.
  • Scripting skills for automation of reporting, license tracking, and account management.
