About The Position

The Senior Program Specialist within Human Resources Division (HRD) and International Operations Directorate (IOD) at Applied Development provides essential support to Government employees within HRD/IOD, contributing to the effective management and execution of program and administrative functions. This role involves diverse responsibilities that require a mix of independent initiative and collaboration with HRD/IOD staff to achieve organizational goals. As a Senior Program Specialist, you will: Support and contribute to the planning and development of administrative and program activities within HRD/IOD. Review records and data for accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and collaborate with staff to identify and correct errors. Compile data and prepare comprehensive reports to monitor and assess program activities, projecting future program needs and ensuring data integrity. Oversee and maintain complex filing and record-keeping systems to ensure efficiency and compliance. Manage and analyze program-related data to support decision-making and optimize program outcomes. Participate in program planning initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills for data management and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint for effective data management and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and budgeting principles.
  • Experience in virtual training production, ensuring smooth execution and delivery.
  • Previous experience in program support or administrative roles, preferably within a Government or similar organizational setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex filing systems and handle data analysis tasks effectively.
