About The Position

The LTAMDS (Lower Tier Air Missile Defense Sensor) Senior Program Quality Lead (PQL) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS), will support the LTAMDS International Customer(s) base, offset obligations, and associated development work to aid deliveries as an on-site employee at our Andover, MA location. You will promote and execute with a quality mindset, share knowledge, and collaborate. You will assist in implementation of Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts with oversight CONUS (Continental Unites States) and OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States). This role will work to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs, and interface with US Government Customers, Suppliers and our internal and international Raytheon Quality team. The LTAMDS portfolio includes contracts in all Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) phases, including design and development, production, and sustainment. This is an onsite role in Andover, MA.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of engineering experience.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).
  • Working experience in providing technical program assistance for manufacturing and design processes.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
  • Active U.S. security clearance.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
  • Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management processes.
  • Experience in other functional areas such as engineering, supplier engineering, or operations.
  • Experience establishing cost estimates and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).

Responsibilities

  • Quality of delivered products and services to our customers, stakeholders of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, key team members in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.
  • Developing and implementing strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will closely affect the programs’ implementation and influence.
  • Improving processes or systems using conceptual reasoning, and interpretation skills.
  • Assuring inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget.
  • Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Driving initiatives to reduce program costs mitigating Program Risks and capturing Opportunity.
  • Implementation of APQP (AS9145) as applicable.
  • Establishing manufacturing readiness strategies and executing OCONUS.
