About The Position

The Senior Program Officer at Family Health International (FHI 360) plays a crucial role in supporting the Anglophone West Africa portfolio within the West Africa/Middle East Regional Office (WAMERO). This position is responsible for implementing complex projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing project resources effectively. The officer will oversee project activities, monitor expenditures, and ensure that projects adhere to budget, scope, and schedule requirements while providing strategic leadership in programmatic management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management or related roles.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management and technical program implementation.
  • Strong understanding of donor requirements and organizational policies.

Responsibilities

  • Implement complex projects ensuring activities align with work plans.
  • Gather information to assist with multifaceted project activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Monitor expenditures against budget and manage confidential project information.
  • Develop and review work plans, prepare presentations, and support project objectives.
  • Coordinate project resources and plan for deliverables with the management team.
  • Provide initial review and comments on programmatic reports and annual work plans.
  • Oversee the reporting process to meet client requirements and aggregate reporting for strategic oversight.
  • Represent the project at client and funder meetings and participate in external events.
  • Liaise with clients regarding project planning and task completion.
  • Serve as the point of contact with subawardees and partners, promoting communication between projects and stakeholders.
  • Monitor sub-awardee and partner deliverables and take necessary actions.
