About The Position

The Senior Program Manager at RECARO Aircraft Seating is responsible for managing complex product development projects related to commercial aircraft passenger seats. This role involves overseeing all activities from sales handover through development, certification, supply chain, and production, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining cost, quality, and schedule control. The Senior Program Manager also mentors less experienced Program Managers and plays a key role in maintaining program performance and compliance with RECARO's quality and design standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree preferred.
  • A degree in Business, Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Program Management role.
  • Strong customer relations skills and negotiation skills are required.
  • High level understanding of engineering concepts and FAA certification procedures for commercial aircraft seats.
  • Proven track record of meeting commitments and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent internal and external communication and presentation skills.
  • Good knowledge in MS Project, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex programs from sales handover to program closure with complete responsibility over cost, timeline, scope and quality of the product.
  • Develop full scale project plan in MS Project.
  • Manage ZACSA and MS Tracking database updates.
  • Negotiate due date changes with OEM and customers.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support overall program baseline in collaboration with project team, senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage program scope and assess the impact of scope changes.
  • Responsible for communication with customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage Master Change Proposals and program budget.
  • Coordinate service bulletins and program documentation.
  • Lead program task and team meetings efficiently and follow up on open items.
  • Estimate resources and negotiate with department managers for required personnel support.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Supervise all BFE activities and ensure IFE test equipment is functioning properly.
  • Report program difficulties to the program review board and implement decisions from review board.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations report.
