About The Position

The Program Manager will be responsible for managing the successful execution of a large and technically complex development program for the US Navy. This includes directing all phases of the program from development to initial operating capability, integrating subsystem components from multiple subcontractors into one system that delivers mission-critical functionality. The candidate will manage the overall cost, schedule, and technical performance of the GDMS team and its subcontractors, serving as the primary contact for the customer. The role requires developing strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and a commitment to customer satisfaction in a dynamic environment. The program is mission-critical with significant customer visibility and involvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 10 years relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable after hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing the design, assembly, integration, and test of high reliability products.
  • Leadership experience with diverse, cross-functional product teams.
  • Experience with program baselines and Project Integrated Master Schedules.
  • Experience with quantitative management and program metrics.
  • Proposal development experience in response to Government RFPs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that all contractual requirements are met within the funds provided in the contract.
  • Ensuring that all Program Business Commitments are achieved and forecasting accuracy is maintained.
  • Planning, executing, and closing out programs in accordance with GDMS processes.
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer and supplier relationships.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate internal and external communication.
  • Leading cross-functional teams of engineering, manufacturing, and business personnel.
  • Evaluating situations, making decisions, and solving technical and programmatic issues.
  • Focusing on business growth within programs and identifying business opportunities.
  • Assisting in proposal development and white paper creation.
  • Driving innovations, efficiency, quality, and operational improvement initiatives.
