About The Position

CACI is looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our Spectrum Superiority (S2) Line of Business, supporting our Optical & Photonic Systems team -- we are expanding! The position will require a candidate with strong optical and/or electronics manufacturing experience and a passion to lead complex optical manufacturing programs. Our systems include high-speed electro-optics, fiber optics, and high-power lasers, that provide high-speed data communication across space and from space to ground, including links as far as 250 million miles away. Apply now and join the team You will be responsible for leading one or more large Photonics programs, working with development teams to formulate, propose, capture, and execute new Photonics production programs. Problems faced are frequently complex and require broad-based solutions that impact areas outside of immediate responsibility. The Sr. Program Manager is responsible for program decisions, schedule, and Profit & Loss for the programs. The Sr. Program Manager for this position will be the primary interface to customers that are extremely technical, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical ideas with the support of the technical and manufacturing team, will be critical to success. This position will also require the ability to implement evolving programmatic, production, and quality best practices within the team, and the ability to communicate with and influence executive leadership. The position will require interfacing with technical development teams and working together to Design For Manufacturing (DFM), and transition to high volume production. A part of the role also includes participation in the Photonics organization’s development of tactical and long-term strategic growth plans. A successful person in this role would contribute to improvement of entire processes or systems within the programs and the organization, leveraging on personal past experiences and in-depth understanding of manufacturing program management best practices that improve our competitive position in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering, science, manufacturing, or business discipline.
  • Seven or more years of experience in a Program Management or other technical leadership role with a focus on the manufacture of highly complex optical and/or electronic products.
  • Thorough understanding of and experience in PM principles and best practices, including scheduling, budget control, and risk management.
  • Experience in successfully taking an electronics or optical system from an integrated product development process into volume manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project or other scheduling tool
  • Exemplary verbal/written communication skills required for interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as vendors, suppliers, customers, etc.
  • Experience working on DoD or other similar Government programs
  • Experience managing programs to EVMS standards.
  • Experience managing programs over $25M in contract value.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret or above clearance is highly desired
  • Experience in a Program Management or other technical leadership role that involved the development of hardware deliverables that specifically included lasers, fiber optics, opto-electronics, or other photonic technology
  • PMP certification
