About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Senior Program Manager for a contract pending award to provide Naval Support Activities in Norfolk, VA. The Project Manager (PM) shall be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all project activities related to the development, implementation, and delivery of project deliverables. The PM shall ensure that the project meets schedule, budget, and performance requirements while complying with DoW policies and contract specifications. Contingent on Contract Award/Position funding Responsibilities include: Develop, maintain, and update project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to achieve project objectives. Define project scope, objectives, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and implement corrective actions as needed. Serve as the primary point of contact among Government, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and progress. Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues in a timely manner. Track project deliverables, milestones, and outcomes to ensure compliance with requirements and standards. Prepare and submit regular project status reports, meeting notes, action items, and other required documentation to the Government

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience managing projects in a Navy environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required.
  • PMP course completion certificate from an accredited course facilitator will also be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of briefings, reports, and project documentation for senior Navy leadership and community stakeholders.
  • Proven record of delivering complex projects on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with Navy standards and procedures.
