The Senior Program Manager is responsible for overseeing complex, multi-faceted programs, managing contract operational support functions, and coordinating multiple interrelated project tasks. This role provides strategic direction, ensures successful execution of projects, and manages teams of contractor personnel across multiple locations. The Senior Program Manager serves as the primary interface between contractors, customers, and internal teams, ensuring program objectives, schedules, costs, and contractual obligations are met. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in program management, preferably in contract operational support or multi-site project environments.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams and coordinate complex, interrelated project tasks.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience preparing technical and financial reports.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with federal, state, or commercial contracting.
  • Demonstrated success in business development support or marketing liaison roles.
  • Familiarity with project management software and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, direct, and manage all aspects of contract operational support programs involving multiple complex tasks.
  • Provide overall direction and guidance for program activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Manage teams of contractor personnel at multiple locations to achieve program goals.
  • Consult with customers and contractor personnel to develop, review, and adjust task plans and deliverables.
  • Ensure all program activities conform to schedules, budgets, and contractual requirements.
  • Assign responsibilities, monitor progress, and oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive technical and financial reports to communicate project progress to management and customers.
  • Monitor program performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary interface between contractors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Provide support to marketing and business development personnel in identifying and acquiring potential business opportunities.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to program leadership and stakeholders, offering insights to improve efficiency, compliance, and program outcomes.
