Position Summary The Senior Manager, Programs will directly manage one or more flight programs, ensuring customer satisfaction, execution to cost and schedule, risk management, and deliver high quality products. They will coordinate with key functional areas such as Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts & Finance to ensure effective planning and execution of their programs. They will mentor other PMO members and operate as part of a team to ensure overall success of the business unit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 9+ years, or graduate degree and 7+ years, of applicable experience
  • PMP Certification, or the ability to obtain within 6-months of starting employment
  • Experience managing space related programs and/or working with space electronic systems
  • Experience in managing government programs of a technical nature including FAR-based contracts with multiple CLINs
  • Financial management and planning experience
  • Working knowledge of Government contract types (including OTA and FAR based)
  • Experience managing product development programs, including design, development, procurement, prototype and production elements
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management

Responsibilities

  • Cost, schedule, risk management and customer interface
  • Working alongside a Lead Systems Engineer who will manage technical execution
  • Mentoring of other PMs
  • Ability to support travel or off-site work, as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
