BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager (PM) to provide management and oversight of all activities performed by contractor personnel, including subcontractors, for a program with the U.S. Army National Guard responsible for the operation, modernization, expansion, and evolution of IT services, infrastructure support. The successful candidate will act as the overall Program Manager. In this capacity they shall direct efforts of cross-competency teams spread across multiple tasks focused on Software Engineering, IT Infrastructure and Network Engineering, Cybersecurity Support, Enterprise Operations Support, Training, Innovation, and Special Projects Support. The Program Manager will serve as the primary liaison and POC with Government representatives on technical and project issues. The ideal Program Manager should possess a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and an ability to adapt to emerging and dynamic requirements.

  • Provide management and oversight of all activities performed by contractor personnel.
  • Direct efforts of cross-competency teams across multiple tasks.
  • Serve as the primary liaison and point of contact with Government representatives on technical and project issues.
  • Ten years of senior leadership/program management experience within the last 20 years managing complex DoD IT projects/operations.
  • A minimum of five years of experience implementing project management principles and managing, tracking, and coordinating a wide range of actions, documents, and tasks through completion.
  • Be an employee of the prime contractor at the time of proposal submission.
  • Possess one of the following active certifications: Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP) or a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) PM Level III.
  • Possess an ITIL® v3 Practitioner or ITIL® 4 Managing Professional or a higher certification in either category.
  • An active TS security clearance with an SCI eligibility.
  • A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline related to project management or IT.
  • Experience effectively directing and managing contract functions involving multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks.
  • Possess the appropriate certifications to achieve DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level III.
  • Experience with performance-based and award-fee contracts.
  • Experience leading projects with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) requirements.
  • Experience in leadership of complex tasks, including review of work products for correctness, compliance with industry best practices, DoD standards, and Army standards.
