We are seeking leaders with a technical background and experience in system integrity to support a rapidly growing organization with exciting opportunities in program execution and new customer pursuits. The Program Manager (Value Stream Leader) is responsible for supporting deal creation, overseeing proposal preparation, applicable Gate Reviews, supporting negotiations, initial contract start-up, establishing and supporting regular customer status meetings, and coordinating with the McKinney-based teams, matrixed functional support teams, ensure timely completion of development/delivery milestones per the IMS, post-delivery support, and engineering services efforts. This position includes management of integrated product team (IPT) leads, various functional supporters, and direct report program management employee(s) to ensure all contract, technical, and programmatic requirements are met. Understanding of product licensing structures, capture management experience, experience transitioning IRAD to a licensed product a plus. This position is an ONSITE role located in our McKinney, Texas facility.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Professional experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting
  • Ability to reach across the organization, into manufacturing, engineering, subcontracts and other functional organizations to build an IPT that supports growing program to next level of test and manufacturing readiness
  • Effective customer management skills, listens to customer and is a partner with them in making recommendations and path forwards that customer can evaluate and re-direct when needed
  • Direct experience in managing multi-contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity, as well as experience in supporting a multi-vendor environment is required
  • Experience with the identification of program technical risks and opportunities at both the system and component level with effective mitigation/handling plans
  • Proven experience of build and facilitating a culture of openness, respect, active listening while also driving accountability and results

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic customer engagements on a regular basis
  • Work with Chief Engineer, Finance and Contracts to develop product specific licensing approaches to accelerate deal closure and license delivery to customers
  • Interface and coordinate technical support to resolve customer issues
  • Generate monthly forecasts, hold to forecasts and develop plans to offset any unfavorable shifts to forecast
  • Generate annual operating plans (AOP), takes an active role in supporting leader with generation of strategic financial plans (SFP)
  • Supports development of business cases to justify investment needs
  • Identify financial risk and opportunities, and develop mitigation plans to risks and opportunity enhancement plans for opportunities
  • Profit and Loss for selected portions of the Night Cover Portfolio, including oversight of RTX company investments (IRAD, CFR, ARs, etc.)
  • Monitor Program performance relative to plan and make necessary adjustments to ensure program requirements are met
  • Travel at minimum 30%
