About The Position

The position involves full responsibility, authority, and accountability for the successful execution and customer satisfaction of the program under the leader's guidance. The individual will oversee the overall financial performance of the program, maintain the business case throughout its life cycle, and monitor non-recurring expenses (NRE). A strong emphasis will be placed on scope control and change management, with quarterly updates to program financials to determine root causes and corrective actions for any variances. The role includes program bidding, planning, and control, as well as estimating non-recurrent and recurring cost targets. The individual will also review customer requirements for technical compliance and create and maintain the program management plan. Collaboration with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop, baseline, and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) is essential, along with analyzing and prioritizing tasks on the critical path throughout the program life cycle. The position requires support for S&OP meetings and coordination of medium to long-range planning, ensuring that lessons learned are incorporated into program planning and control. The individual will identify and manage program risks and opportunities, review customer contract compliance, and serve as the primary point of contact with the customer throughout the program life cycle. Responsibilities also include leading internal and customer milestone gate reviews, capturing and communicating lessons learned, overseeing assigned project managers and IPT work package leaders, and establishing program governance with key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Typically requires 10 years of program management experience in a commercial aerospace environment.
  • Strong knowledge of program management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage programs.
  • Proficient with MS Project and competent with MS Office programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Leadership skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize information.
  • Financial acumen.

Responsibilities
