About The Position

As the Senior Program Manager, IS - Project Management Organization, you will manage a team of experienced project managers and testing analysts responsible for delivering large IS enabled, cross-functional projects in support of company business objectives. You will also manage and oversee large programs within your project portfolio, creating, developing, and implementing program level plans consistent with program objectives, business requirements, timeline, and budget constraints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
  • 12+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience managing successful large programs using a formal project management methodology.
  • Experience in interacting with business customers at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience coaching and developing less experienced project managers in the area of project management.
  • People management and development experience.
  • High personal standards of integrity.
  • Proven ability to influence and shape outcomes through strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and conceptually.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

  • People manager for experienced project managers, responsible for developing people including administration of career path, individual work/development plans, and performance management.
  • Coaching and developing project managers and testing analysts on their team.
  • Overall accountability for the successful implementation of the project portfolio assigned to the team.
  • Managing a $15 - $25 million portfolio of projects annually.
  • Accountable for the definition, planning, scheduling, execution, and successful completion of assigned programs.
  • Creating program level plans in collaboration with IS development teams that are aligned with the project management framework.
  • Ensuring that assigned programs are delivered within estimated hours, established completion dates, and approved budget.
  • Providing thought leadership and guidance for the QA team.
  • Identifying and appropriately escalating program level issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring project management best practices are applied to all project areas, including scope, timeline, budget, resources, risks, and communications.
  • Regularly communicating program status to all stakeholders.
  • Defining, managing, and meeting customer, stakeholder, and project team expectations.
  • Ensuring the program delivers the business value as identified by the business customer.
  • Establishing and maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, stakeholders, and team members across the program.
  • Contributing project management best practices and thought leadership to the Project Management Organization.
