About The Position

The Senior Program Manager for Hardware at Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is responsible for overseeing product development projects within the Digital/IoT portfolio. This role focuses on managing platform roadmaps, executing continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and operational excellence. The position requires a strong background in electromechanical and product development projects, with an emphasis on innovation and transformative growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience managing electromechanical and new product development projects.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 15%).
  • Experience with budgeting and financial metrics for large-scale projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical knowledge in electromechanics and statistics.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools and principles: FMEA, DOE, QFD, DFA, and DFMA.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes like sheet metal, injection molding, casting, and designing for manufacturability.
  • Ability to estimate costs and communicate risks, benefits, and concepts to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Guide cross-functional teams to deliver platform projects from start to finish.
  • Use the Fortune Brands Product Development Process to design and launch products that meet cost, quality, timing, and customer standards.
  • Drive product development and supply chain activities, focusing on speed to market, budgets, and product costs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Global Product Development with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Ensure projects launch on time, meet deliverables, and stay within budget.
  • Collaborate across teams (Engineering, Marketing, Operations) to streamline innovation and platforming efforts.
  • Oversee team performance and manage risks to meet project goals.
  • Provide regular updates through executive reviews and reports.
  • Conduct post-launch reviews to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and manage critical resources to achieve results.
