About The Position

The Data Platform & MLOps Organization covers a broad scope and a wide range of skill sets from cloud infrastructure design and development to data engineering and machine learning operations to support cross-functional teams like data science, sensor intelligence, business analytics amongst others. The projects we deliver require a high degree of well-coordinated cross-functional collaboration across quarters or even years. WHOOP is looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to ensure the efficient execution of these mission-critical projects. The right person for this role is a high performer who leverages relationships throughout WHOOP to see around corners and seamlessly align dependent resources despite inevitable uncertainty.

Requirements

  • You have 6+ years of experience in technical program management or a related field
  • You are a skilled and versatile problem solver. You can operate in ambiguity and anticipate potential challenges
  • You are an excellent communicator both in writing and speaking
  • You have strong program management and Excel skills and a knack for organizing information
  • You lead with and practice psychological safety
  • You can rally stakeholders forward at a challenging yet sustainable pace and successfully partner with diverse technical and non technical stakeholders both internally and externally to the Data Platforms and MLOps organization.
  • You listen with the intent to understand and grow, take on feedback quickly and share feedback with others to help everyone grow

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a coherent program strategy to align resources across the many sub-groups of the Data Platform and MlOps org as projects move from one to the next
  • Maintain a source of truth on the status, risks, blockers, and staffing for all team initiatives; update stakeholders internal and external to the team org on these as they evolve.
  • Anticipate complexity and break it down to simplify and de-risk projects
  • Work independently and self sufficiently to solve problems; escalating to management’s attention as needed
  • Identify inefficiencies in the team and propose solutions for more streamlined processes
