Axalta is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the delivery of Nimbus, our next-generation customer experience platform. Nimbus is the cornerstone of Axalta’s digital transformation – connecting our customers, distributors, and internal teams through a unified suite of applications that power commerce, color, insights, and service. This role is accountable for driving the end-to-end Nimbus development roadmap and ensuring alignment across global business and technology teams. The Senior Program Manager will oversee delivery across multiple products within the Nimbus ecosystem, ensuring quality, scalability, and measurable business impact. As a strategic leader, this person will bridge business strategy and technical execution, playing a critical role in modernizing how Axalta engages customers and operates digitally across regions.

  • Owns delivery, quality, and alignment across dedicated Nimbus technical resources and matrixed specialists.
  • Ensures dedicated teams are productive and consistently delivering against the roadmap.
  • Escalates, negotiates, and governs matrixed contributions when program needs intersect with enterprise standards or competing priorities.
  • Surrounds themselves with Project Managers who handle day-to-day delivery mechanics.
  • Works closely with Product Managers to balance roadmap intent against technical feasibility and solution design.
  • Lead global, hybrid teams of contractors and employees, fostering collaboration across regions and time zones.
  • Act as the central point of accountability for program execution, status reporting, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Partner with product managers to align requirements and priorities with technical delivery plans.
  • Provide strategic input and challenge during solution design sessions, with final approval authority on technical solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee external development teams to ensure delivery quality and contractual alignment.
  • Establish and maintain program governance processes, including steering committee updates, budget tracking, and KPI reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to IT processes, compliance requirements, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management, with at least 5 years leading enterprise-level applications.
  • Proven track record managing complex, global programs that include hybrid teams of employees and contractors.
  • Strong understanding of IT processes and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and SAP applications; ability to bridge functional and technical requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Background in enterprise SaaS or large-scale digital transformation programs.
  • Familiarity with system integrator/vendor management, including contract execution and performance management.
  • Experience working in a B2B environment with customer-facing applications.
  • Innovative solutions in the coatings industry.
  • Sustainability initiatives including a 2040 carbon neutrality goal.
