About The Position

The Senior Program Manager, under administration direction, provides management-level oversight over program staff and performs professional-level functions involving the development, implementation, and maintenance of ICB programs. These duties include identifying institutional needs; managing the administration of grants; developing contracts; developing policies and procedures; and overseeing fiscal and administrative functions associated with the program. Also, the Senior Program Manager will have the responsibility for ensuring that their institutions are effectively meeting the goals and objectives of applicable programs. This person is responsible for building strong relationships with faculty, staff, and executive-level members of the institution. Their role is to foster a community of practice experience for institutional cohort and navigating the cohort through program activities. In addition to managing programs, they will help the institutions manage long-term programmatic goals for realistic projections. They will also work with the institutions' accounting department to assist with developing and maintaining programmatic budgets. They must develop strategies and tactics that would assist their institutions with successful outcomes. The successful candidate will lead a pre-set of institutions in multiple donor-funded grant programs. The position requires a highly motivated self-starter. They can work autonomously and have the capacity to collaborate when necessary. The Senior Program Manager should think strategically, manage multiple program managers, communicate effectively, have a strong understanding of program management, and be detail oriented.
