About The Position
The Senior Program and Curriculum Specialist for Certified Bookkeeper at Cengage Group plays a pivotal role in supporting the design and direction of ed2go Programs. This position involves collaboration with product managers, instructional designers, content managers, and other colleagues to deliver innovative, high-quality educational products. The successful candidate will ensure timely support to both internal and external partners, contributing to the overall mission of helping students discover the power and joy of learning. In this role, the specialist will act as a liaison between instructors and the content maintenance team, managing everything from minor updates to comprehensive course revisions. They will perform formal reviews of course content to ensure relevance and compliance with current requirements, certifications, and industry standards. As a knowledge expert on new course developments, the specialist will also assist in the product launch process, support new instructors, and respond to queries while hosting webinars to enhance course engagement. The position requires active participation in roadmap planning to ensure courses meet high-quality standards. This includes conducting competitor course reviews and collaborating with the product team to understand and predict trends, which will help refine product strategies. The specialist will work closely with product managers to complete product strategy documents and preplan for examination changes and other course assets. Engagement and outreach are also key components of this role. The specialist will attend internal sales training sessions to enhance understanding of course content and participate in webinars for prospective students. They will support B2B customer-facing presentations and engagements to foster program adoption and ensure alignment with industry regulations. Additionally, the specialist will assist in managing course evaluations and community outreach efforts. Instructional support is another critical aspect of the role, where the specialist will understand instructor responsibilities, moderate discussion boards, respond to student inquiries, and provide feedback on assignments. They will help maintain course quality and instructor support by reviewing survey feedback and communicating results to instructors. Overall, the Senior Program and Curriculum Specialist will embody the Cengage ethos and actively participate in department activities, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
