Job Title: Senior Program Controls Analyst Reporting To: Director, Program Work Schedule: Hybrid – Buffalo, NY Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for an experienced Senior Program Controls Analyst to play a pivotal role in the successful execution of Military Development and Aftermarket programs. This is a high‑impact position where you’ll provide expert planning, scheduling, cost control, Earned Value reporting, and governance support—ensuring program teams are working to a robust baseline underpinned by accurate data and strong analytical insight. As a senior member of the team, you’ll help embed consistent controls practices, build capability, and drive data‑led decision‑making across the program. You will also contribute to shaping a growing program controls function, acting as a subject matter expert and coaching early‑career analysts. This role sits in East Aurora, NY (hybrid work schedule available) and reports to the Director, Program Controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field.
  • 7+ years relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years Earned Value Management experience.
  • A strong background in project/program controls, planning, PMO, cost engineering, or a related analytical discipline.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Deltek Open Plan).
  • Excellent analytical skills, with strong numerical and data‑interpretation capability.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Power BI or similar visualization tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional project management or controls certifications (e.g., APM, PMI, EV‑related) are desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, ensuring robust logic, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Perform schedule analysis, progress measurement, and performance forecasting.
  • Conduct detailed cost variance analysis and Earned Value Management assessments.
  • Lead the consolidation of schedule, cost, risk, and milestone data into accurate, timely management reporting.
  • Maintain and analyse RAID information, highlighting emerging risks and variances early.
  • Ensure the program aligns with organizational controls standards and governance expectations.
  • Contribute to the development and rollout of improved controls processes, tools, and templates.
  • Demonstrate high standards of professionalism, analytical rigour, and effective stakeholder engagement.
