SUMMARY: Support one or more major projects within the Rule of Law Program, including design and implementation of multi-faceted initiatives related to legal issues around access to justice, democracy, and civil society, support for international field offices, budget management, drafting of proposals and donor reports, fundraising, and public relations. Liaises with both Carter Center staff and external clients, as required. May conduct applied research, manage program publications, supervise interns, and other project(s) responsibilities as assigned. The Senior Program Associate will report to the Director of the Rule of Law Program or designee. Due to the requirements of the position, Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) will be required as part of the position and must be completed before any travel commences. This position will require periodic travel within the United States, and may require periodic international travel (and re-entry to the United States) to West Africa, including Sierria Leone, and South Asia, including Bangladesh.
