About The Position

This job posting is for upcoming opportunities. We are seeking a Senior Program Analyst - Threat Reduction with extensive expertise with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Threat Reduction and Arms Control (DASW(TRAC)) Weapons of Mass Destruction Threat Reduction (WMDTR) Division within the Washington Headquarters Services in Falls Church, VA to join our team.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in engineering, scientific, technical, management, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience doing threat reduction work for countering weapons of mass destruction.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • US citizen

  • Experience with CWMD strategy development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of biological, chemical, nuclear, and radiological threats.
  • Familiarity with interagency coordination processes.
  • Experience supporting policy development and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with determination of critical implementation and compliance requirements and issues for monitoring Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) program activities.
  • Work closely with Offices of Secretary of Defense (Policy) and other U.S. Government Departments/Agencies to provide program acquisition support and assist with CTR Program actions requiring coordination at OSD level.
  • Assist development, coordination, and distribution of Acquisition Implementation Guidance and direction to DTRA CTR Program leadership.
  • Provide analytic support in review and development of CTR Annual Report to Congress and other congressionally required reports.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise to advise DoD, other agencies of USG, and partner countries on technical aspects of safeguarding, dismantling, eliminating, and disposing of WMD.
  • Participate in conferences, trips, meetings, and IPTs supporting threat reduction work for countering weapons of mass destruction.
  • Produce issue or point papers, meeting minutes, briefing materials, cost and technical estimates, trip reports, and similar documents.
