About The Position
The Senior Production Technician at Ferrotec (USA) Corporation plays a crucial role within the Assembly Department, focusing on the assembly of precision electromechanical components. This position involves both repetitive and non-repetitive assembly tasks, with a strong emphasis on product quality and minimizing cosmetic handling damage. The technician is expected to build functional products with minimal rework, ensuring that the final output meets the high standards set by the company. In addition to assembly tasks, the Senior Production Technician is responsible for performing analysis, testing, and support of electronics and circuits. This includes fabricating and assembling electronic systems from blueprints, schematics, or sketches, utilizing a deep understanding of electronic systems and components. The technician will troubleshoot product designs, suggest improvements, and conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of both prototype and production models. Calibration checks on electronic instruments are also part of the role, along with collaborating with engineers to perform root cause and failure analysis as needed. The position requires a commitment to quality and safety, as the technician will be working in environments that may require the use of safety shoes and shielded safety glasses. The role is dynamic, requiring adaptability to various procedures, techniques, tools, and materials to meet the specific needs of the tasks at hand. The technician may also be responsible for orienting, training, and checking the work of lower-level employees, contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the organization.
