About The Position

The Senior Production Supervisor (3rd Shift) at dsm-firmenich is responsible for overseeing the plant's daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves leading a team, setting clear targets, and fostering a culture of safety and efficiency to enhance production processes and product quality.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in science or engineering discipline or equivalent training and experience required.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a food-manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, chemical or related manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and good communication skills as well as a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, and SAP.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with various departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with safety and quality standards in production.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and execution of the SHE & Quality policy, standards, and culture to ensure the highest level of performance.
  • Ensure daily, weekly & monthly routines in place to drive safety, quality, operations, performance, and service improvement.
  • Be accountable and supervise operators by setting clear targets and motivating them to achieve goals and targets.
  • Supervise and develop team leaders and operators.
  • Identify and drive changes to improve production efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the definition of the site master plan to align site capabilities with strategic objectives.
