About The Position

Join Boston Scientific's Operations Commercial Planning team as a Senior Production Planner and play a vital role in ensuring global product availability across our manufacturing network. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing planning, inventory control, demand planning, or supply chain management
  • Experience with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) processes
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Advanced Planning Systems (APS), preferably Kinaxis RapidResponse
  • Planning experience in vertically integrated manufacturing environments
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, or similar)
  • Demonstrated success in continuous improvement and/or project management initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key point of contact for production units, sister sites, and global supply chain partners during SIOP/SIOE planning processes.
  • Provide strategic input and direction on manufacturing priorities to stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and resolve material shortages impacting build plans.
  • Identify and execute projects that support service level, build plan, on-time delivery, and inventory objectives.
  • Own work-in-process (WIP) and subassembly inventory management for assigned areas.
  • Train associates on planning and materials processes.
  • Manage critical master data elements, including safety stock, yields, and lead times.
  • Analyze and communicate inventory and recovery plans as needed.
  • Perform 'what-if' scenario planning to support production strategies.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement and Lean Business Process (LBP) initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to manage product lifecycle activities.
