About The Position

The Senior Production Planner is responsible for monitoring, downloading, and reviewing daily EDI from all customers, correcting any IDOC or KUEM issues, and running MRP for SAP updates. This role involves weekly cycle counts of KAUFs and WIP parts to maintain proper inventory levels and acting as a Customer Service Representative to resolve customer issues. The planner is expected to be available 24/7 by cell phone for off-shift calls, issue 'Open Orders List' to production, and maintain the SAP graphical planning table daily. They communicate potential delivery discrepancies with the Planning Supervisor to meet customer requirements while balancing set-up, inventory targets, and personnel availability. The role also ensures customer requirements are met daily with the warehouse Supervisor, plans sample requests and bank builds, maintains MM30, calculates optimal lot sizes quarterly, plans service part requirements daily, and manages obsolescence levels for non-moving parts and inventory in SAP Master Data.

Requirements

5+ years production planning experience
Excellent computer skills
Proficiency in SAP

Experience preferably in Automotive Industry
Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Monitor, download & review EDI daily from all Customers
Correct any IDOC errors from EDI
Correct any KUEM issues
Run MRP for updating SAP
Cycle counts KAUFs & WIP parts on a weekly basis to maintain proper inventory levels
Work closely with Customer as a Customer Service Representative to ensure all Customer relevant issues are solved
Be available 24/7 by cell phone to answer calls during off shifts
Issue ‘Open Orders List’ to production & maintain SAP graphical planning table daily
Communicate potential delivery discrepancies with Planning Supervisor to meet Customer requirements, balancing the needs of set-up, inventory targets, & personnel availability
Ensure together with warehouse Supervisor that all Customer requirements are met on a daily basis
Plan sample requests and bank builds as required
Maintain MM30 on a daily basis
Calculate optimal lot sizes on a quarterly basis
Plan service part requirements on a daily basis
Maintain obsolescence levels on non-moving parts balancing of multiple cavity tools (i.e. L-R, LHD, RHD, etc.)
Manage non-moving finished parts (FGs) in 3030
Maintain SAP Master Data on a daily basis
Manage non-moving 999s inventory
Complete any other tasks as deemed necessary by the company
