About The Position

The Production Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining a constrained weekly production schedule (MPS) and managing the frozen period horizon for all possible production requirements (Scheduling, rescheduling, reworks, outsourced work-in-progress inventory) for committed 1-3 months and reviewing 4-12 months schedule for any known capacity constraints. The planner will also hold responsibilities to resolve manufacturing issues and communicate the potential impact to key business partner

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in years of related work experience in Supply Chain. Certification (APICS/ IBF) desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience with ERP (Oracle and Oracle Cloud & Advanced Planning Systems desirable).
  • Production Planning or manufacturing experience in a Medical/Pharmaceutical or Consumer industry.
  • Ability to apply project and personal leadership to successfully achieve project, team and individual goals.
  • Ability to share knowledge and personal experience with peers. Coach others when appropriate.
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, considering diverse perspectives and styles.
  • Ability to target their communications as appropriate for the audience and make presentations to a small to medium sized audience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating a constrained weekly/monthly production schedule.
  • (MPS) and ensuring raw material availability.
  • Planning and freeze period management of production activities (Rescheduling, Reworks, Outsourced WIPS).
  • Maintain material inventories within OCA Finish goods goal, while minimizing excess, obsolete and expired products; develop overall inventory projections for specific products
  • Enables meeting inventory targets.
  • Align a three month committed production schedules with value stream managers in terms of resources, shifts, equipment, earned hours and shutdowns.
  • Communicate and escalate low finish goods inventory report ownership & updates.
  • Resolve any manufacturing conflicts for site/ portfolio. Manage impact and communication of manufacturing driven change management.
  • Provide Production Planning input into S&OP process. Provide transparency of risks and opportunity. Participate in S&OP forums as applicable.
  • Lead/support required compliance process activities for Change Control, Deviations, Events & CAPA’s and assess respective supply impact.
  • Provide specific input to the End-to-End Supply Chain configuration process and ensure planning master data (safety stock, lead times) in the ERP system are up to date.
  • Ensure participation in new product launch meetings and new product forecasts as a business partner.
  • Execute planning activities derived from products phase-in phase-out.
  • Meeting all operational KPIs – Inventory, DOH, customer backorder and OTD.
  • Support quarterly Finance budgeting process for Inventory and earned hours.
  • Support the Repair Centers where applicable.
  • Other Essential Duties as required.
