About The Position

Purpose of Position: Responsible for owning and continuously optimizing the Master Production Plan to meet customer delivery commitments while balancing capacity, material availability, and inventory objectives. This role leads advanced production planning, capacity modeling, and cross-functional coordination to ensure executable, resilient production plans that support business and financial goals. Summary of Essential Job Functions: Oversee and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS), aligning demand, capacity, and material availability across all production lines. Develop and maintain detailed production and capacity plans, including constraint-based modeling and scenario analysis for demand changes, material disruptions, and engineering changes. Collaborate with material planning, procurement, production, engineering, warehouse, and configuration management teams to ensure timely availability of materials and accurate system data. Lead production planning inputs for monthly SIOP, including risks, mitigation strategies, capacity trade-offs, and recommended decisions. Translate approved SIOP plans into executable schedules and monitor plan adherence. Develop and maintain visual management tools and dashboards that communicate plan performance, risks, and recovery actions to senior leadership. Establish, track, and improve planning KPIs such as schedule adherence, plan stability, capacity utilization, and inventory health. Own and continuously improve planning-related master data and parameters within ERP and Advanced Planning systems. Serve as a subject-matter expert and mentor for planning best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives. Proactively identify planning gaps, lead root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in production planning and scheduling within a complex manufacturing environment (high-mix, low-volume preferred).
  • Strong understanding of SIOP, MPS, capacity planning, and inventory management principles.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on ERP experience with production planning and inventory management; experience with Advanced Planning Systems strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience developing and presenting data-driven planning insights to senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
