Requirements

• Bachelor of Science is strongly preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in materials management, planning and/or purchasing in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with MRP and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, just in time or pull supply systems, using real time computer scheduling system required.
• Capacity Planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software required.
• Knowledge of SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the site Master Schedule production of each manufacturing area in SAP.
• Participate in planning and establishing overall production objectives considering workload, orders, stock, parts requirements, shipping dates, and sales forecasts.
• Coordinate manufacturing order management, interfacing with Customer Service/Sales to turn customer orders and forecasts into manufacturing orders.
• Issue the Production Orders to the area to match the schedule.
• Update Gemba board in each area daily on schedules completed and complete monthly KPIs on each area schedule attainment.
• Process Purchase Requisitions for raw material requirements while ensuring raw material is available to meet schedule.
• Coordinate schedules with other departments for lead-time required for procurement of tools and materials.
• Manage Kanban and order requirements for production area consumables to meet schedules.
• Ensure WIP pipeline is healthy to support forecast delivery plan.
