About The Position

The Senior Production Operator III plays a crucial role in the pharmaceutical manufacturing team at Pfizer, ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of production equipment. This position is responsible for monitoring equipment functionality, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to safety and quality standards. As a subject matter expert, the operator will also assist in training others and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ultimately supporting the mission of delivering essential medicines to patients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 3+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
• Problem-solving mindset with necessary mechanical skills for machine set-up and repairs.
• Proficient in operating and maintaining standard maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret operating procedures and equipment documentation.

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of relevant pharmaceutical manufacturing experience as an operator/mechanic.
• Technical school/Auto Mechanic Program Certificate and/or Industrial maintenance/repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to basic functioning needs of area equipment, including line speed and product feeding.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment.
• Operate production equipment during manufacturing processes.
• Coach and train new hires, acting as a subject matter expert for process operations.
• Communicate safety and quality issues to management and recommend action plans.
• Support Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) activities, including Continuous Improvement and Total Productive Maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety requirements and process step requirements, including cGMP and Good Documentation Practices.
• Interact with automated control systems and interpret data from production equipment.
