The Senior Product Test/Lab Engineer will work within the IP team to implement tests to meet customer requirements and is responsible for test setup, equipment control and monitoring, data collection and data verification. The Support Engineer is responsible for performing troubleshooting and adjustment of both the test equipment and test setup when technical issues arise. The Sr. Product Test/Lab Engineer supports customer mission objectives through the development and implementation of lab area plans and procedures. You will provide leadership to establish and implement lab area plans in conjunction with internal and external customers and service providers. You will manage day-to-day site lab area operations. You will mentor staff in lab skills and best practices. You will uphold and enforce lab procedures for compliance with RTX and contractual requirements. You will ensure lab availability and configuration for system test events.

  • Support integration, verification, and validation (IV&V), design verification testing (DVT), and production testing.
  • Collaborate with operations and manufacturing teams to enable efficient product flow, provide actionable metrics, minimize cycle time, and maximize yield.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all lab personnel requests and service needs.
  • Track and manage equipment calibration schedules, ensuring timely submissions to Metrology.
  • Support security hardware inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance of hardware inventory.
  • Monitor the lab for safety hazards and take immediate corrective action when necessary.
  • Facilitate inbound and outbound shipments, including equipment and materials.
  • Assist in the movement of Test Equipment (TE), materials, and field equipment within the lab.
  • Initiate and track Facility Work Requests for maintenance or space modifications.
  • Contribute to obsolescence investigations.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience with lab and asset management with electrical design, development, integration and test of power, digital and RF products.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with RTX policies, safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • A self-starter who can take on tasks with limited guidance.
