About The Position

Johnson Controls is hiring a Senior Product Technical Support Engineer to support our YORK Airside Technical Services (ATS) team. We help clients respond to their building efficiency needs by supporting their industrial and commercial airside units (AHU) at various locations across the globe. The Senior Product Technical Support Engineer will support our Field Sales & Service organization for Largo VAV/FCU Enviro-Tec equipment across all our product offerings, which include Variable Air Volume Terminals, Fan Coil Units, and Air Handling Units. This position is a hybrid position based in Largo, FL. Candidates must be commuting distance to the facility, or able to relocate.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related Technical/Scientific field
8+ years experience (with a Bachelor's degree) or 14+ years of technical experience with a knowledge of HVAC&R products in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
Able to analyze and solve complex product system problems
Understanding of fan powered terminals and understanding of application of parallel vs. series flow units
Understanding of the refrigeration cycle
Knowledge of HVAC&R products

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to the Field Sales & Service organization in a consistent manner across all product offerings.
Provide day-to-day technical support of the products to Field Sales & Service organization via site visit, phone, or email
Participates with literature team with the creation and revision of technical service bulletins and, service letters
Participates with the warranty team on warranty claim discussions.
Interactions with quality management and engineering on product issues and product improvements
Crafts novel solutions with measurable value for existing and potential customers; experiments with new ways to tackle work problems and seize opportunities that result in outstanding and differentiated solutions; promotes the involvement co-workers in solving problems that directly impact what people do; leveraging technology to optimally address problems and capitalize on opportunities
Places a high priority on the internal or external customer's perspective when making decisions and acting; implementing service practices that meet the customers' and own organization's needs
Participates in the Product Development Process
To develop and maintain " a customer for life" we provide technical support to customer sites if required
Must adhere to all safety and personal protection requirements
Trouble shooting HVAC/R units over the phone
Send wiring diagrams needed for units that are not working
