This role involves developing and delivering live training for financial institutions and collaborating with Instructional Designers to create self-paced sessions. The trainer will focus on products related to core banking software for credit unions, with additional application and soft-skills training as needed. Conduct needs assessments to determine training needs, understand learner profiles, job settings, and system tasks. Deliver a full portfolio of multi-day courses and virtual/web-based sessions (5–10), while developing a limited set of new courses (1–3). Apply strong presentation, communication, and classroom management skills at FIS facilities or client sites (up to 25% travel). Create learning plans for new instructor-led and virtual courses with minimal guidance, as well as provide feedback on course development. Stay updated on product changes and revise course materials as needed using standard templates. Keep current on financial services trends (banking, wealth management, insurance, regulatory) relevant to FIS products. Manage all aspects of training projects, including: - Client communication - Scheduling and travel planning - Status, expense, and forecast reporting - Follow-up and issue resolution

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or adult education or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Typically, 5 to 8+ years of experience in banking and/or adult education and classroom management.
  • Financial or banking experience with a focus on Lending/BackOffice.
  • Exceptional presentation, course development, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and techniques.
  • Understanding of banking and financial services, including lending, insurance, wealth management, online banking, card services, and bill payment.
  • Excellent customer service skills along with the ability to build credibility and positive client relationships.
  • Proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Clear, tactful verbal and written communication with capability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Effective time management, problem-solving, project management, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Resourceful, flexible, dependable.
  • In-depth knowledge of FIS products and systems, particularly MISER or HORIZON, along with familiarity with FIS procedures and the products being trained.
