About The Position

ICF is seeking a Senior Product Owner to support a large federal client. In this role, you’ll lead vision and direction for Agile development teams, managing program and product roadmaps, features, and epics. You’ll collaborate closely with SMEs, business analysts, architects, and technical leads, as well as partner with UX and user research teams to ensure human-centered design is reflected in the product vision. Job Location: Remote within the U.S. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses and also prohibits personal VPN connections.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust
  • MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 years of relevant IT experience with at least 5+ years as a Product Owner, working with software development teams and understanding the product lifecycle building modern and highly complex software products.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and refine customer needs and program strategy.
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the client goals and priorities.
  • Own and refine the vision of the program and products.
  • Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable features are delivered to users.
  • Write clear and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria to guide development efforts.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, understand needs, and ensure alignment across various initiatives.
  • Effectively break down the program vision into features and epics.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform future development efforts.
  • Derive an Agile program roadmap from the program backlog.
  • Define minimum viable products and establish success criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with a wide range of individuals on the Agile team.
  • Communicate vision, strategy, roadmaps, and backlogs to key stakeholders.
  • Perform an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
