Requirements

  • 6+ years’ of work experience in a software development environment
  • 4+ years’ experience working on external customer-facing product owner role
  • 3+ years’ experience managing both new development and production-driven statement of work

  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex product, system and delivery issues, identifying root causes across people, process and technology.
  • Ability to break down rough/ambiguously defined problems into structured, testable components teams can act on.
  • Able to facilitate rapid decision making in high-pressure or ambiguous situations, balancing speed, quality and risk in Production and / or Customer-Facing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify potential risks and failure modes, addressing issues before they impact customers or delivery timelines
  • Experience spans the entire SDLC, from strategy build out to monitor and management of production product.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information system or other relevant field

Responsibilities

  • Conduct the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of Boeing training software products
  • Decompose program application strategy and requirements into measurable features, user stories and technical development tasks.
  • Work with UI/UX team to capture specific visual requirements where applicable
  • Define detailed technical acceptance criteria for testing and product acceptance.
  • Responsible for final approval once team is complete
  • Identify, communicate and track status of architectural and upstream/downstream development team dependencies
  • Direct software development by following development roadmap and functionality firing order
  • Constantly identifying/mitigating product risks and removing development obstacles
  • Achieve and confirm software training products meet non-functional requirements and adhere to architecture
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the technical teams on product personas and backlog use cases
  • Champion Agile Development
