The Senior Product Manager plays a strategic leadership role in transforming Nordstrom's product development processes, specifically supporting our private label business, Nordstrom Product Group. As a senior leader on the Product Management team, you will craft product vision, drive complex technology implementations, and deliver measurable value to stakeholders across the organization. By leading vendor partnerships, orchestrating complex integrations, and championing innovation, you will shape the future of how Nordstrom develops products. What you'll do: As a Senior Product Manager, you will: Craft and evangelize product vision and strategy for product data management and digital collaboration capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives Lead end-to-end vendor partnerships, including evaluating solutions, defining requirements, and managing ongoing relationships Orchestrate complex technology implementations involving data integration, system configuration, user experience design, and business process transformation Develop strategic roadmaps independently, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term vision across multiple product domains Partner with engineering leadership to make technical architecture decisions and drive complex integrations between systems Define requirements through user research, process analysis, wireframes, user stories, and technical specifications Lead go-to-market execution, including UAT planning, stakeholder communication, and success measurement Manage production systems, triaging incidents and driving continuous improvement initiatives Influence stakeholders across the organization, from working teams to senior leadership, driving alignment on product direction Mentor junior product managers, fostering their development and elevating team capabilities Evaluate emerging technologies, particularly AI and machine learning capabilities, determining strategic fit and value potential What we're looking for: The ideal candidate will bring: Experience: 5+ years of product management experience; Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) or product data management (PDM) systems strongly preferred; Retail or merchandising industry helpful but not required. Vendor & Partner Management: Proven track record of leading vendor implementations and managing complex technology partnerships Technical Depth: Strong technical foundation with ability to engage in API integrations, data architecture, and system configuration discussions; Experience with AI/ML product features and ability to critically evaluate emerging technologies. Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to develop product vision and strategy independently, operate with minimal oversight, and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to define success metrics, analyze data to inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement through measurement and learning. Collaboration & Influence: Exceptional ability to build relationships and orchestrate work across Analytics, Engineering, User Experience, Business teams, and external partners; Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving organizational alignment. Communication Skills: Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with experience presenting complex topics to diverse audiences from technical teams to executive leadership. Team Development: Experience mentoring and developing product managers, with commitment to elevating team capabilities. Software Collaboration: Extensive experience working with both internally developed and third-party software solutions, with demonstrated ability to evaluate, implement, and optimize enterprise platforms.
