Senior Product Manager

Abyss SolutionsHouston, TX
Hybrid

About The Position

As the Principal Product Manager at Abyss Solutions, you own outcomes across a product line. That means you’re accountable for what we build and whether it wins in-market—adoption, retention, customer value, and commercial results. You lead major cross-functional initiatives end-to-end: frame the problem, validate the approach, ship the right thing, and prove it worked with measurable results. You set domain strategy and the roadmap, get stakeholders aligned on priorities and tradeoffs, and keep teams moving through ambiguity without losing quality. You’re also the person making sure the product is sellable and supportable. You own the commercial thinking (packaging and pricing inputs, value narrative, rollout/upgrade paths) and the practical stuff that makes the product successful—collateral, demos, sales enablement, launch readiness, and feedback loops. You bring strong domain expertise, lift decision quality and standards, and help the broader PM team level up through reviews, coaching, and repeatable ways of working

Requirements

  • 7 years of product management (or equivalent) experience, including leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a B2B or global tech environment.
  • Track record of driving product strategy, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong commercial judgement and comfort owning GTM readiness (enablement, collateral, positioning) alongside delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in AI, robotics, autonomy, or regulated/industrial technology.

Responsibilities

  • Product line outcomes: Own adoption, retention, customer impact, reliability, and commercial performance for your product line. Define KPIs, track them, and drive decisions that move them.
  • Domain strategy & roadmap: Set the strategy and roadmap for your domain. Align leaders and teams on priorities, sequencing, and tradeoffs. Keep the roadmap grounded in customer value, feasibility, risk, and time-to-impact.
  • Lead big initiatives end-to-end: Run major initiatives across teams from discovery through delivery, launch, and iteration. Keep problem statements crisp, scope clear, and momentum high. Unblock teams and make the hard calls when needed.
  • Commercials (packaging/pricing inputs): Partner with Finance, Sales, and Product leadership on packaging and pricing inputs, commercial models, and rollout/upgrade paths. Make assumptions explicit and ensure the roadmap supports the commercial plan.
  • Collateral & enablement: Own (or ensure ownership of) the assets required to sell and deliver the product: messaging, one-pagers, pitch narrative, demos, case studies, competitive context, release notes, training, and launch plans. Make sure Sales/Solutions are set up to win and that learnings flow back into the roadmap.
  • Standards & mentoring: Act as the domain SME. Raise the bar on decision quality with standards, frameworks, and good product judgement. Mentor other PMs through reviews and coaching, and scale best practices across the org.
  • Cross-team & external collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Sales, Marketing, Solutions, Ops, and external SMEs/regulators to deliver outcomes and maintain Abyss’s leadership in AI and robotics globally.
