About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, this critical team member will be responsible for driving profitable growth through ownership of the product and marketing roadmap for Engineered Drives. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days a week in our Milwaukee HQ office. This role will lead and drive profitable growth for the product platforms through new business development aimed at existing and new markets with a focused value proposition, product roadmap, and appropriate business model deployment to capture equipment plus data/services recurring revenue for the business unit. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the product life cycle, new product development programs, implementation of product/customer marketing strategies, value propositions, price positioning, and commercial launch activities to maximize profitable growth. This role will also lead initiatives focused on driving portfolio share gain & margin expansion by partnering and collaborating with sales, engineering, and operations teams globally. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong cross-functional leadership, business acumen, change management, team leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business/marketing, or an MBA is strongly required.
  • Minimum 5 years of Product Management, Marketing, Strategy, Operations, Engineering, Business Development, or related experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate, interact, and influence at all levels of the organization to drive results.
  • Proven ability to lead courageously, to drive large cross-functional teams to success in challenging situations.
  • Proven ability to analyze, interpret and draw meaningful and accurate conclusions from data.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans and drive tactical execution.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Gearing Industry experience or experience in the mining, grain, cement, metals, or fertilizer industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & AOP Support - Strategic Market, Customer & Competitive Analysis
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the overall market, including overall size/growth by submarket & applications, industry trends/landscape, competitive & customer insights.
  • Lead efforts in supporting the development of strategic plan & AOP including a detailed assessment of market, competition, customer/ business growth plans and specific levers driving topline revenue and operating profit for the product platforms.
  • Formulate Strategy & Opportunity
  • Develop Product Line Roadmaps and secure cross-functional leadership consensus and buy-in on prioritization of the needed initiatives, scope, and investments.
  • Lead voice of the customer (VOC), primary and secondary research to facilitate the development of product strategies, product plans, and identification of new products and service opportunities.
  • Identify and lead strategic projects to evaluate and provide strategic direction for innovative growth opportunities that leverage technology, market trends, and integrated solutions.
  • Direct the development & maintenance of long-term Technology and Product Road Maps.
  • 80/20 Complexity Reduction, Strategic Pricing, Mix Up, Demand Shaping & Sales Funnel Development
  • Drive portfolio simplification and complexity reduction for margin expansion using core 80/20 principles.
  • Drive product mix shift and demand-shaping strategies to expand margin.
  • Evaluate assigned portfolio for obsolescence and communicate recommended product replacement.
  • Manage New Product Introductions From Concept Development To Commercialization
  • Lead VOC to identify market requirements and trends to drive continuous improvements and to identify product enhancement opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional new product development teams and all aspects associated with the product definition, product development, pricing, market introduction, sales tools, and promotion plans.
  • Drive PMO to lead NPD stage-gate processes to launch new products from concept to full commercialization
  • Go-To-Market Execution & Launch
  • Lead marketing to develop and deliver training materials to support training programs.
  • Lead subject matter experts for assigned products to support the internal team, field sales, distributors, and end users.
  • Partner and collaborate with sales and commercial leaders to identify growth opportunities and drive new product customer penetration.
