The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the travel landscape, particularly corporate travel, and what tools, data, and analytics travel managers require to make informed decisions about their corporate travel program. Key responsibilities include overseeing the Travel Manager experience for Complete -- a new next-gen travel and expense solution, co-created by Amex GBT and SAP Concur -- and its touchpoints across the GBT Select product landscape. The person in this role will manage and execute key strategies from concept creation and product design to development and delivery in partnership with our engineers and designers. Engaging with customers and key stakeholders around the travel program management experience will also be an integral element, as well as effective communication across Amex GBT teams including marketing, sales, client management, consulting, technologies, product deployment, supplier relations, compliance, and traveler care. Familiarity of emerging technologies in both the travel and expense spaces will also be a key to success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 8+ years of software product management experience
  • Deep understanding of product management industry standards and innovations
  • Experience with current Agile, UX practices, frameworks for product discovery, and launch strategies
  • Experience with incorporating generative AI into digital solutions
  • Passionate about approaching projects collaboratively and with a positive attitude to deliver quality products on time
  • Able to communicate in a concise and clear way to senior leaders, technical, and non-technical partners from around the world
  • Strong strategic perspective; able to see the big picture and roll up your sleeves to push projects through to completion
  • Passionate about developing product best practices, and building a strong product management community

  • Travel industry experience beneficial (airline, hotel, online travel agencies or other travel-tech companies)

Responsibilities

  • Be the expert for your products, combining industry analysis, end-user feedback, and continue to evolve to the product vision and strategy for your domain
  • Lead and communicate product roadmaps for your domain
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams at Amex GBT including user experience, engineering, analytics, marketing, commercial, operations, and more
  • Work with partners across product, technology and operations to translate customer needs into workable technology solutions, and deliver world-class products
  • Understand our company and product objectives, business traveler challenges, and opportunities to improve the travel experience
  • Lead the execution of products from inception through deployment and marketing, including prioritization of maximum impact initiatives, anticipating delivery risks and managing trade-offs
  • Pull, analyze, and share data to drive prioritization and decision making
  • Define and drive business outcomes and metrics for your domain
  • Incorporate the latest technology available including AI into products to improve the user experience
