About The Position

The role of Senior Product Manager in the AWS Distributed SQL organization involves contributing to product engineering and business strategy for a new distributed database service. The primary responsibility is to help accelerate the product engineering and business growth of Amazon Aurora DSQL by shaping and leading product strategy, turning insights and customer feedback into actionable plans. This includes ownership of roadmap prioritization and contributing to feature development while acting as the voice of the customer throughout the software development lifecycle. The role requires collaboration with software engineering teams and interaction with senior management within the AWS databases organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience.
• 3+ years of technical experience in software development, network development, IT, or related fields.
• Experience in taking a product from conception and definition phase through engineering design and market launch.
• Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products responsible for the full product lifecycle.
• 3+ years working with database technology in a product management or practitioner role.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
• Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies.
