This role is responsible for overseeing the growth and profitability of auto and home insurance for a group of states. In addition, you will be responsible for countrywide initiatives that may include assigned lines of business.

Requirements

  • strong analytical skills
  • knowledge of rate-making methodologies
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • the ability to analyze data, develop strategic recommendations and operationalize them
  • a bachelor’s degree in a field related to business or analytics (master’s degree preferred)
  • four or more years of insurance experience with an emphasis on personal lines

Nice To Haves

  • personal watercraft experience
  • product management and pricing experience
  • an FCAS or ACAS designation

Responsibilities

  • collaborate with underwriting and sales associates on state strategy and initiatives
  • drive implementation of countrywide strategies and rate, rule and form initiatives
  • develop state-specific strategies in agency management, competitive position, etc.
  • mentor product analysts and help develop their skills
  • develop reports to show the overall health of a state and communicate them to business partners and management
  • collaborate with IT associates on product implementation and testing
