About The Position

Spotify’s AI Safety Platform team is building the systems and infrastructure to ensure that Spotify’s AI experiences are safe, aligned, and trustworthy. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join this team, and help lead the next chapter of Spotify’s AI safety efforts. Together with your engineering and research collaborators, you’ll ensure that the company’s next-generation recommender systems and generative AI products are built on a foundation of integrity, transparency, and protection for users and creators alike. You’ll work within the Modeling Foundation product area, within our AI Foundation organization. We ask that you be physically located in Eastern Standard/Daylight time zones, for the purposes of our collaboration hours.

Requirements

  • You have a proven track record as a Platform PM, working on trust & safety systems.
  • You have hands-on experience working in AI safety, and understand how to translate AI safety principles into scalable, pragmatic systems.
  • You thrive working with internal customers, balancing their needs with technical realities.
  • You’re a skilled, persuasive communicator, both in person and in writing.
  • You’re comfortable leading complex, multi-team initiatives in ambiguous technical domains.
  • You excel at system-level thinking, strategic prioritization, and fostering alignment.
  • You’re energized by the opportunity to define how Spotify defines AI Safety.
  • You’re located in (or willing to work within) Eastern Time Zone (ET).

Responsibilities

  • Drive the product vision, product strategy and roadmap for Spotify’s AI Safety Platform.
  • Partner with engineering, research and policy teams to build the systems that support evaluation, classification, and policy alignment for AI applications.
  • Define and scale multimodal safety capabilities across audio, video, and conversational interfaces.
  • Collaborate with internal customer teams to understand their needs and develop centralized guardrails for AI safety, while enabling flexibility for innovation.
  • Build robust, data-driven feedback loops that continuously improve Spotify’s safety models and infrastructure.
  • Translate highly technical capabilities into clear business value and roadmaps.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and learning within your teams.
  • Champion responsible AI practices across the company.
