We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to serve as a Product Owner on the News team. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of various unstructured content projects, with a focus on AI related initiatives, including our vectorized documents product offering. As the key liaison between stakeholders and the development teams, you will play an essential role in ensuring the successful implementation of numerous News initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of experience in product management or related roles, preferably in financial technology or analytics
  • Deep knowledge and expertise related to news and filings content, how it is collected and processed, and how it is used by clients in FactSet products
  • An understanding of the financial industry and investment management landscape
  • Strong content/product management experience
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Knowledge of off-platform delivery methods for unstructured content
  • Experience in Product Development best practices, including Agile development, User Stories and Acceptance criteria, and product release best practices
  • Familiarity with AI technologies, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics
  • Familiarity with creating, applying and maintaining taxonomies
  • Strong track record of meeting desired deadlines and product milestones
  • Good understanding of metadata and tagging
  • Ability to skillfully interact directly with vendors and clients
  • Familiarity with real-time data requirements
  • Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing projects
  • Ability to drive projects that require resources from other groups
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills; experience making data-driven decisions

Responsibilities

  • Product Ownership: Take ownership of AI product development within the News team, acting as the key decision-maker and advocate for product development, feature prioritization, and roadmap alignment
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define user stories, and ensure alignment with FactSet's overall product vision and strategy.
  • Agile Development Process: Drive the agile product development process, working closely with development teams to define and prioritize product backlogs, manage sprints, and ensure timely delivery of product features and enhancements.
  • Product Roadmap: Collaborate with stakeholders to create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with business goals and client feedback. Work closely with News engineers and stakeholders to continuously prioritize projects.
  • Content Quality: Continuously improve content quality by analyzing the content (e.g., reviewing QA changes), updating quality tools, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving them to completion
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and user feedback analysis to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation.
  • Product Communication: Communicate product updates, progress, and roadmap changes to internal stakeholders, including leadership, sales, marketing, and customer support teams, ensuring alignment across the organization. Engage clients and Sales/Consulting for specific input and general feedback as appropriate and necessary
  • Off-Platform Product Development: Work closely with product development teams and engineers on growing our off-platform unstructured content offering.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical expertise to a team of product developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
