About The Position

At Emburse, you'll not just imagine the future - you'll build it. As a leader in travel and expense solutions, we are creating a future where technology drives business value and inspires extraordinary results. We're looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager II to redefine how small and mid-sized businesses manage payables through AI-driven financial automation. In this role, you'll lead the strategy and development of a next-generation solution that anticipates user needs, reduces manual work, and turns payables data into actionable insight. You'll collaborate closely with Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Go-to-Market teams to create experiences that learn from every interaction and simplify invoice capture, coding, and approval while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and trust. If you're passionate about building intelligent systems that make finance teams faster, smarter, and more empowered, this role offers both scale and impact.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience in SaaS or financial software.
  • Demonstrated success shipping data-driven or AI-enabled products in accounting, payments, or source-to-pay domains.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business rules into intelligent, scalable systems.
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering and design teams to deliver high-impact B2B software.
  • Strong product analytics foundation (SQL, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or equivalent) and ability to connect data insights to user experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SMB or Mid-Market financial products and workflow automation.
  • Familiarity with invoice processing, reconciliation, and supplier enablement systems.
  • Understanding of data and model lifecycle management, including feedback loops, accuracy metrics, and human-in-the-loop systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product strategy for a major area within the accounts payable and invoice management experience.
  • Define vision, metrics, and roadmap that connect customer outcomes (speed, accuracy, trust) with business growth goals.
  • Partner with AI/ML and design teams to embed intelligent automation, prediction, and conversational guidance into payables workflows.
  • Translate customer pain points into adaptive solutions that reduce friction and continuously improve through learning loops.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Data, Design, Finance, and Marketing to deliver intuitive, high-quality features from concept through launch.
  • Leverage data and behavioral insights to refine models for invoice classification, payment reconciliation, and anomaly detection.
  • Champion explainable automation - ensuring transparency in decisioning logic and maintaining trust across finance users.
  • Drive GTM readiness by aligning with Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success on launch positioning, pricing, and adoption strategies.
  • Monitor market and technology trends in AI, accounting automation, and mid-market SaaS to inform long-term product direction.
  • Communicate roadmap priorities and trade-offs clearly across stakeholders, balancing customer value with execution feasibility.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay, flexible work, and an inclusive, collaborative environment that supports your success.
