Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience as a product manager, 8+ years preferred.
  • Product Management certification preferred.
  • Skilled at solving complex problems by assessing risks and presenting clear, data-driven positions.
  • Proven collaboration with engineering, design, and business teams.
  • Solid grasp of Agile Scrum, Kanban, and user story development.
  • Experience in government, law enforcement, or public records preferred.
  • Project Management certification desirable.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical subject (Computer Science or Engineering discipline) is preferred, but not required.
  • Physical and/or logical access to criminal justice information is required.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer use cases and market trends.
  • Maintain regular customer contact for insights.
  • Develop processes to identify customer needs.
  • Guide the team to meet customer needs.
  • Consider competitors and regulations in product decisions.
  • Track metrics related to customer needs and ensure product activities influence those metrics.
  • Extract and access data from various sources, managing uncertainties in available data.
  • Evaluate different options to address complex, conflicting priorities.
  • Identify relevant data for establishing KPRs, priorities, and dashboards.
  • Design multiple hypothesis-based strategies for product evaluation, such as AB testing for interactive products.
  • Develop coordinated launch plans with marketing and sales.
  • Draft collateral for marketing and sales.
  • Assist with pricing strategy, when needed.
  • Own assigned aspects of launch and strategy execution.
  • Manage sunset process and customer migration planning.
  • Develop timely, clear, and thorough requirements.
  • Understand the full product experience and create detailed prototypes.
  • Oversee all lifecycle phases, from planning to release.
  • Define product vision and roadmap aligned with business strategy.
  • Assess buy, build, or partner options and commercial performance.
  • Incorporate competitor insights into product planning.
  • Prepare or contribute to investment business cases.
  • Develop product features using company platforms and technologies.
  • Collaborate with tech and data teams on development strategies.
