For more information, please visit fluenceenergy.com . Job Description: Role Overview We are seeking a Product Manager to own the data center problem space. This role is accountable for shaping integrated product solutions spanning the battery storage system, with an emphasis on software and intelligence enabled behavior and system operation. This is a high-impact role for a Product Manager who can operate in ambiguity, think holistically, and translate complex technical and market inputs into a clear, scalable product direction. You will define product strategy, own roadmap coherence, and ensure delivery of repeatable, high-value solutions with our products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 6-10+ years of product management experience, including experience in complex, technical domains (e.g. infrastructure, energy, industrial software)
  • Experience working closely with systems, software, and controls teams where system behavior and operational performance are critical.
  • Proven ability to define product direction in ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Strong understanding of system behavior, controls, and advanced testing capabilities, and the ability to translate that understanding into clear product direction.
  • Comfortable making prioritization decisions with incomplete information and standing behind them.
  • Credible with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Clear, structured, and motivating communicator who can turn complexity into clarity.
  • Experience and knowledge of Agile development methods.
  • Deep curiosity about the data center space, including how customers operate and how BESS plays a critical role in this space.
  • Periodic time zone flexibility to support customers and colleagues across the world .
  • Ability to travel internationally (~25% of the time).

Responsibilities

  • Define and continuously refine a clear understanding of the most critical data center challenges across customer segments (hyperscalers, colocation providers, emerging use cases, etc.)
  • Establish and own the product vision and strategy for data center offerings, working closely across the system to shape integrated solutions.
  • Translate strategy into an actionable, prioritized roadmap that balances customer value, business impact, and long-term leverage.
  • Engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to validate problem statements, product direction, and roadmap priorities.
  • Develop deep familiarity with data center operating models, constraints, and decision drivers.
  • Bring a strong understanding of software-driven controls, BESS system behavior, and drive requirements to shape product operation across data center use cases.
  • Partner closely with software, controls, hardware, and systems team to ensure intended behavior is delivered reliably and at scale.
  • Gather, analyze, and act on customer feedback to inform product enhancements and future product development.
