About The Position

Rapid7's AI Centre of Excellence partners with cross-functional teams to enable customers to assess risk, detect threats, and automate their security programs. The AI CoE ensures that AI, ML, and data science are applied in a meaningful way to add impactful value, achieve business objectives, and deliver ROI to both Rapid7 and its customers. The approach is creative, fast-fail, and highly iterative, accelerating ideas from proof-of-concept to decision-making. With over 20 years of threat analysis experience and numerous AI patents, Rapid7 is ambitious in its AI goals and seeks dynamic individuals to join its mission.

Requirements

• 4+ years in product management, with experience equivalent to Lead/Principal level roles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AI/ML concepts, markets, and practices.
• Ability to articulate and understand complexities of AI-based initiatives through research, prototyping, and evaluations.
• Fluency in driving the complete product lifecycle in the AI space.
• Experience in cybersecurity or security operations centers is ideal but not mandatory.
• Fast learner with an open mind to consider opinions from a wide range of stakeholders.
• Superb communication abilities that adjust based on seniority levels in the business.
• Track record of successfully positioning products within a competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional leadership teams to own the AI product vision across the Rapid7 product portfolio.
• Collaborate with customer research, UX, data science, product, and engineering teams to create the best AI products and experiences.
• Ensure product development aligns with Rapid7's compliance and governance policies.
• Manage multiple AI initiatives and product life cycles that align with Rapid7's business objectives.
• Work closely with AI engineers to define potential use cases for R&D and tailor AI-based approaches for suitable solutions.
• Define, design, and lead execution of user requirements into AI-based product deliverables.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and understanding of initiatives, customer outcomes, and urgency to mitigate risks.
• Create and report upon KPIs and metrics to monitor cost, usage, and customer adoption throughout development stages.
• Collaborate with AI CoE and Marketing on messaging and artifacts for public visibility of AI initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and mentor colleagues, contributing positively to the product culture.
