Senior Product Manager, AI

CompanyCam
$191,000 - $215,000Remote

About The Position

As a Senior Product Manager, AI on the Camera team you'll drive CompanyCam's artificial intelligence product strategy and execution, owning the development of AI-powered camera features that enhance contractor productivity and establish competitive differentiation in the construction technology market. You'll lead cross-functional product development, conduct customer discovery to identify high-impact opportunities, and translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive user experiences. You'll establish AI product development frameworks, drive data-driven decision making for AI feature optimization, and serve as the primary stakeholder communicator for AI strategy. The Camera team owns CompanyCam's most foundational surface, the feature that every contractor touches every single day. We're a small, focused team that moves fast, stays close to customers, and believes the best ideas come from building things and learning from them. AI is opening up a whole new chapter for what the camera can do, and we're just getting started. Remote: Candidates must permanently and currently reside in the United States. Employees are not required to work in the office or relocate to Lincoln, Nebraska, for this opportunity. Employees are encouraged to come hang at headquarters for up to 10 days per calendar year on CompanyCam's dime.

Requirements

  • You bring 5+ years of product management experience, including 1+ years working directly on AI/ML products.
  • You have a habit of reaching for AI tools to move faster and think more clearly, not just to talk about them.
  • You're comfortable building near-code prototypes or working artifacts to test ideas with customers.
  • You've shipped consumer or B2B software products with real user adoption and measurable business impact.
  • You have a deep understanding of the AI/ML product development lifecycle, including prompting, evaluations, deployment, and monitoring.
  • You're proficient with product analytics tools and use data to make decisions, not just to report on them.
  • You lead through influence, partnering with engineering managers and guiding multidisciplinary teams to successful outcomes.
  • Expert-level communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and multiple departments.
  • You have a courageous, coachable leadership style. You address hard things directly and stay open to feedback.
  • You're invested in the success of your colleagues, and they're invested in yours.

Nice To Haves

  • You have experience with device or camera functionality, including hardware limitations and capture experience.
  • You've built or shipped something with AI that you're genuinely proud of.

Responsibilities

  • Own CompanyCam's most-used and most-loved feature, the camera, and define what it becomes next.
  • Build rough prototypes and testable artifacts using AI tools to pressure test ideas before.
  • Drive AI integration into the camera experience, including capabilities like auto-generated photo descriptions and photo flagging.
  • Partner with design and engineering to move from discovery to delivery without a lot of hand-holding in between.
  • Get close to customers through interviews, usage data, and ongoing feedback loops to find where AI can actually move the needle.
  • Run experiments and A/B tests to validate ideas and sharpen what's already shipped.
  • Communicate clearly across customer success, sales, and marketing when it's time to bring something to market.
  • Track what matters: adoption, engagement, retention, and customer satisfaction, and use that to decide what to do next.

Benefits

  • This is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our starting salary range is $191,000–$215,000 per year and is based on experience. We also offer meaningful equity and other benefits.
