About The Position

Our product team is growing rapidly and we are looking for a talented product manager to join our agile, world-class team. Agility Robotics is looking for a Senior Product Manager to support the Artificial Intelligence team. In this role, the Product Manager will be in charge of bringing our leading AI research and development activities into the product to deliver real world value. They will work cross functionally to deliver solutions that produce high quality end-to-end humanoid policies and Artificial Intelligence robot foundation models. This is an internal customer facing role, and offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of R&D and production. The role will need strategic thinking and it will be highly tactical to successfully implement Digit in real world environments. This hybrid role is based out of our Salem (OR), Pittsburgh (PA), or San Francisco Bay Area (CA) offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years as a Product Manager, preferably in robotics, devices, IoT, or AI products for B2B.
  • Experience with modern learning-from-demonstration tools
  • Experience with robot data collection, training, and testing on hardware to perform manipulation tasks.
  • Managed the lifecycle of software development tools through multiple release cycles.
  • A strong customer focus for understanding customer needs and translating them into clear, concise, and actionable product requirements.
  • Strong experience in both strategic thinking and tactical execution—breaking down high-level goals into detailed, actionable features and managing them through to completion.
  • Experience writing Product Requirement Documents and Jira initiatives/epics for feature definition.
  • Experience managing a product backlog and iterative software releases.
  • Analytical skills to quantify impact of features and utilize data for prioritization.
  • Experience in Agile development, having served as Product Owner on multiple scrum teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degrees (MS, PhD) a plus.
  • Experience working with a hybrid team.
  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or related industries.
  • Experience working with humanoid robot platforms, or any robotics-related hardware development.
  • Familiarity with robot software, simulation, and testing platforms.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience using project management tools like Jira or Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Product Outcomes: Represent the internal user to identify and prioritize their pain points, needs, and wants. Work with leadership to define metrics of success and lead the development of solutions that are valuable to the user, technically feasible, easy to use, and that work for the business.
  • Define Product Requirements: Define product level requirements for the teleoperations, data labeling, dataset management, model management, model training, performance metrics dashboards and other solutions to deliver high quality end-to-end humanoid policies and Artificial Intelligence robot foundation models. Work closely with scrum teams to break down product requirements into engineering tasks. Translate internal users’ needs into clear, actionable technical specifications. Define clear metrics that drive model development with the rigour needed to support real world use cases.
  • Agile Execution: Support agile development teams as product owner and key resource for backlog grooming, refinement, and scrum planning. Run demos and approve releases of core dev teams.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the key liaison between engineering, design, and internal users. Facilitate clear communication to keep everyone focused on delivering valuable high performing end-to-end humanoid policies and AI robot foundation models.
  • Work with a Remote Team and Department: Collaborate effectively with remote teams and departments across multiple time zones. Ensure smooth communication, alignment on goals, and effective execution of tasks.
